The « competition based curriculum » is a new concept
born at Le Mans Automotive Institute to boost the traditional education
for automotive engineering through the environment given by « Le Mans
24 heures » racing Teams and the presence of the international well known
track.
An innovative concept
The main idea is to back the classes to the constrained environment of
the automotive racing team world. The innovative concept is to train the
student into the skills required for high industrial responsibility in
the frame of automobile industry (overview, prospective capability, team
spirit, stress management, motivation, reactivity, group responsibility,
pragmatic quality, etc.).
An industrial and international context
The education is based on the real requirements of international automobile
industry which manage the full time program shared between engineering
classes and project developed in the frame of real racing Team (engineering
office, project management, international partnership).
Transversal skills and competences
The transversal team managed by the Le Mans Automotive Institute is based
on a racing Team Barazi-Epsilon Sport, already known for main success
in the world races in 1997, 2001 and 2006. This team welcomes the students
in a professional ‘laboratory’ and coaches them in the frame of its own
team on the 24 hours of Le Mans Track. Higher Institute for advanced Materials
and Mechanics, ISMANS, member of the French Ivy League in engineering
already awarded in 1997, 2005 and 2006 for advanced patents and results
in the frame of mechanics will be the educational taskforce for engineering
and management education as well as the use of multi media means. Numerous
professionals and industrial responsible will be involved in the classes.
